- The exam will be online.
- The questions will be of objective multiple choice type.
- There will be 4 parts in the exam.
- The paper will be of General Knowledge & General Awareness, General Intelligence & Reasoning, Numerical Aptitude, English.
- There will be 100 questions in the question paper.
- Each question is of 02 marks so the paper will be of total 200 marks.
- The time duration of the exam will be given 1 hour.
- There will be 1/2 negative marking.
- Candidates who qualify the written test will be called for Descriptive Paper and Typing Test.

SSC CHSL Tier III Syllabus
Skill Test is mandatory for Data Entry Operators.

| Data Entry Operator | The data entry speed of the candidate in this test should be 8,000 (eight thousand) key depressions per hour. | The duration of the test is 15 minutes and is given for typing an English document containing approximately 2000-2200 strokes/key-depressions. |
| Data Entry Operator in the Office of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (C&AG) | The duration of the test is 15 minutes and is given for typing an English document containing approximately 2000-2200 strokes/key-depressions. | The duration of the test will be 15 minutes and each candidate will be given printed material in English containing approximately 3700-4000 key-depressions, which will be entered into the test computer. |
Note:
- Skill Test will be of qualifying nature.
- Candidates eligible for scribe will be given compensatory time of 5 minutes. Therefore, the duration of the Skill Test for such candidates will be 20 minutes
- Candidates will be shortlisted for Tier-III Examination on the basis of their performance in Tier-I + Tier-II subject to having scored a minimum of 33% marks in the Tier-II Examination.
Typing Test for LDC/ JSA and Postal Assistant/ Sorting Assistant:
